Kellyanne Conway looks like a new woman during interview

Senior White House adviser Kellyanne Conway has sparked speculation that she's had plastic surgery and other cosmetic procedures after a pair of public appearances this week in which she was seen with a dramatic new look.

Conway appeared on Fox News on Monday, and viewers at home couldn't help but notice that she looked quite different — and not just because of her more voluminous hairdo.

The 53-year-old, who has served as Counselor to the President of the United States since 2017, appeared on camera to have drastically smoother skin and an overall more airbrushed appearance.

Conway looked more made-up than usual, with glossy lips and face contouring. She also wore her hair a bit differently than she has done in the past, with more volume and bouncier curls.

But eagle-eyed Twitter users also remarked that the skin around her eyes and on her forehead also appeared smoother.

Examining stills from the appearance — as well as photos from a press briefing outside the White House on Wednesday — social media users insisted that no amount of makeup could so dramatically change someone's skin.

Some took a less direct approach in commenting on it, with radio host Stephanie Miller simply asking: 'What the hell happened to Kellyanne Conway??'

Twitter users are speculating on the cause of her new look this week

Twitter users are speculating on the cause of her new look this week

'Wow you looked spectacular today — 10 years younger and what was it? More sleep hair style?,' another posted.

Others said more explicitly that they assumed she'd had some work done, whether it be a face lift, Botox, or fillers.

'Kellyanne bought a whole new face,' wrote one.

Even actress Bette Midler chimed in, tweeting: 'How did Kellyanne Conway manage to get plastic surgery during a PANDEMIC? Did they come to her house?'

Quite a few were critical of the makeover, taking the opportunity to mock Conway and jokingly speculate on more nefarious ways she came about her new look.

'Yall seen Ms Kellyanne Conway? sis said America hates my face so imma get a new one,' said one.

'I see Kellyanne Conway went back into the morgue to slow her melting. Is her skin in a ponytail? Botox couldn't have done all that,' said another.

'How many virgins did Kellyanne Conway kill to bathe in their blood for this photo?' asked a third.

'TBH, it looks like Kellyanne Conway has been making a Silence of the Lambs style Kayleigh McEnany skin suit for months,' a fourth wrote.

Quite a few were more complimentary, applauding the adviser on her appearance.

'Kellyanne went and had her face done. She looks good. I’m not hating on her cause if I had the money I would get my “No Bra Needed” t*****s back,' quipped one.

'WOW. Someone has a GREAT cosmetic surgeon. Congrats- you did good. God bless America & capitalism,' said another.

'Honestly, shout out to the doc that did Kellyanne Conway's Botox and/or filler. They did the Lord's work and did it well!' wrote one more, while another woman said: 'Heck yeah she looks great!! go Kellyanne!'

There were also several Conway critics who chastised those remarking on her changed appearance.

'I despise Kellyanne Conway as much as anyone,' wrote one, 'but let's stop evaluating women for the way they look, OK? You mocked her for looking haggard and now you're mocking her for looking better. Talk about her lies, not her lines.'

Interestingly, Megyn Kelly - who has clashed with Kellyanne on several occasions in the past - leapt to the White House counselor's defense, slamming critics for passing judgment on her appearance.

She tweeted: 'Don’t you love these Hollywood & other far left ppl ripping [Kellyanne Conway] for her looks and alleged plastic surgery when normally they are lecturing the rest of us on how these things are STRICTLY OFF LIMITS for any decent member of society? (Unless the target is a Republican?)'

As for Conway, the mother-of-four spoke to the New York Post and did not directly comment on her supposed new look, but said she had been 'at the White House consistently throughout the pandemic and task force activities.'

However, she did add: 'Thank you though.'
